Shirley G. Pickler, 75, of Anamosa, formerly of Colorado Springs, Colorado, died Saturday, August 24, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
The family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2019, at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa. Private memorial services for the family will be held later.
Shirley Gladys Harvey was born March 27, 1944, in Wick, the daughter or Lawrence and Gladys (Utsler) Harvey. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School. She was married to William Pickler for sixteen years. Shirley was employed as a department manager for K-Mart in Fort Dodge for sixteen years. She also worked for Atmel in Colorado Springs. She loved going to the casino, watching Jeopardy, playing cribbage and listening to music, especially Barbara Streisand, ABBA and Gladys Knight and the Pips.
Those honoring her memory are her daughters, Shanda (Bob) Rasmusson, Anamosa, and Angela (Danny) Halligan, El Cajon, California; grandchildren, Ashley, Brody, Connor, Dylan, Shalynn and Javin; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Ricky Harvey, Lacona.; and sisters-in-law, Terri Harvey, Lacona, and JoAnn Harvey, Colorado Springs; as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters-in-law Dale and Roma, Larry and Wilma and Bill.
