| Patricia Ann (Holmes) Sobotka, 78, of Oxford Junction, died September 21, 2011, at Jones Regional Medical Center, Anamosa. Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 25 at Sacred Heart Parish, Oxford Junction. Burial of ashes will be at a later date at Mount Tahoma National Cemetery in Washington state.
Survivors include her husband, Richard "Dick" Sobotka; children, Mary (Mike) Wells, Stephen (Tamara) Sobotka and David (Gaye) Sobotka; sisters, Margie Holub, Dorothy Lange, Margie Holub and Joyce Farrington; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dana Rae Sobotka; parents, John and Marjorie Holmes; and sisters, Wilma Hurt and Mary Jones.
Patricia was born April 28, 1933, in Anamosa, Iowa, to John and Marjorie Holmes. She was a longtime nurses' aide in several states and an Air Force wife for twenty-six and one half years.
An avid golfer, Patricia was a member of Little Bear Country Club in Wyoming, Iowa.
