Charles "Chuck" A. Holub, 72, of Oxford Junction died on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa, Iowa.
His family will celebrate his life with a Remembrance Service on Saturday, January 11th at noon at the Oxford Junction Senior Center in Oxford Junction. The family will receive friends and family following the service at the senior center until 3:00 P.M.
Lahey Funeral and Cremation Service in Oxford Junction is serving the family.
Charles "Chuck" Holub was born on May 22, 1941 in Anamosa, the son of Arthur and Marjorie (Holmes) Holub. He married his wife Sharon Welty on November 27, 1958 in Olin, Iowa.
Chuck was self-employed in construction work for many years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Garden City, Kansas and served on the Onslow city council.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Sharon of Oxford Junction, a daughter, Kim (Tom Loftus) Peck of Onslow, a son, Jeff (Linda) Holub of San Antonio, Texas; his mother, Marjorie Holub of Monticello; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother Steve (Cindy) Holub of Maquoketa and a brother-in-law Kenny Welty of Onslow.
