Ivah Howard Hall
Answers the Final Summons
HALL.—Mrs. Ivah (Howard) Hall was born June 25th, 1860 in Jones county. She was married to Chas. Hall, Feb. 22nd, 1876, to which union were born three children, Harry who resides in Onslow, Eva who died in 1904, and was buried in Mt. Hope cemetery, and Ruth who with her father, was her constant attendant and did all that loving hands could do in her last illness which dated from Feb. 4th. They resided in Maquoketa twelve years during which time Mrs. Hall united with the Baptist church and was always a faithful and enthusiastic member, and was a neighbor to all those in trouble. In 1906, they moved to Clarinda, Iowa, where she passed away June 13th, at the age of 52 years, 11 months and 18 days, surrounded by her husband, children and sister, Mrs. Volney Burgess of Little Rock, Ark. Besides these she leaves one brother Perry and a host of friends to mourn her loss. The funeral services were held in this city Monday, June 16th at two o’clock at the Baptist church. Mr. L. I. Hansen officiating, and she was laid to rest in Mt. Hope cemetery beside her daughter, Eva.
