Betty Lou Hoyt Ketelsen

Betty L. Ketelsen age 78, died Monday morning October 15, 2007 at Silvercrest of Anamosa, following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa. Rev. Carla Burge will officiate at the service. Friends may call from 4 to 7 Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa. Interment will be at the Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello.
Surviving is her husband William; two sons Robert (Kathy) of Martelle and Rick and special friend Carol of Anamosa; a daughter Deb (Aaron) Zumbach of Anamosa; two brothers John (Carol) Hoyt of Cedar Rapids and Gary (Marianne) Hoyt of Springville; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Betty Lou Ketelsen was born July 23, 1929 in Battle Creek, Iowa. She was the daughter of Lew and Dorothy (Stoneking) Hoyt. Betty graduated from Springville High School. On October 13, 1957 Betty Lou Hoyt and William L. Ketelsen were united in marriage in Manchester, Iowa. Betty managed the Ketelsen Apartments for more than twenty years. She was also a 4-H Leader, County Council member, an avid bowler; she was involved with the Brownies and Cub Scouts as well. She loved watching her grandkids and going to their activities. Betty will be missed dearly by those closest to her.
