Rudolph “Rudy” Paul Husemann
June 2, 1956 – January 3, 2016
Rudolph “Rudy” Paul Husemann of Wheatland, Iowa passed away on January 3, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
To honor Rudy’s life a visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7, from 3 – 7 p.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Maquoketa. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Rudolph was born on June 2, 1956 to Benjamen and Shirley (Haskel) Husemann.
He attended Dubuque High School. On March 1, 1975, he married Debra Spear at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Dubuque, Iowa.
Rudy worked for Owl Furniture for thirty-two years and also did concrete work. His hobbies included softball and playing pool. He also was a league bowler for a number of years at Timber Lanes.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Husemann, Wheatland; three children, Melissa Husemann of Maquoketa, Christopher (Joy) Husemann of Onslow, and Jake (Joni) Husemann of Maquoketa; six grandchildren; sisters Sally Casel, Shirley (Paul) Frommelt, Pam (Jerry) Schroeder; brothers Pete (Mary) Husemann, Carl Husemann, Rob Husemann, Pat (Julie) Husemann and Frank (Carla) Husemann.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John and Ben; two sisters, Linda, Eddie, and one grandson Dylan Hickson.
