Lynnea Mae Jensen Hutchins-Clark
October 16, 1945 – June 4, 2018
Lynnea (Lynn) Mae Hutchins-Clark, 72, of Albia and formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 4 in the Anamosa Care Center, after an extended illness.
Lynn was born on October 16, 1945, in Cedar Rapids the daughter of Violet (Jackie) and Paul Jensen.
Lynn was a hard-working small business owner in addition to having been a supervisor at the Southern Iowa Economic Development Agency in Ottumwa. Lynn’s passions included her family, cooking and baking, gardening and living on her small farm near Albia.
She is survived by three children, Ronna (Mike) English of Anamosa, Michele (Mark) Eaton of Woodstock, Georgia and Matt Hutchins of Cedar Rapids; two grandsons, Chris (Bailey) English of Des Moines and Josh (Summer) English of Williams; one great-grandson, Axel; two granddaughters, Ashley and Danielle Chase; two great-granddaughters, Autumn and Makayla; two brothers, Butch Jensen and Mark Jensen; and one sister, Karen Jean Patton.
She is also survived by her longtime companion and caregiver, Mike Clark.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Daniel Chase.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and thanks to the staff at the Anamosa Care Center and the Care Initiatives Hospice for the attentive care and support.
Lynn’s wishes were for cremation, so there will be no service. Instead her family held a celebration of her life on Thursday, June 7, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Rotary Lodge at the Wapsipinicon State park.
