| Paul Thomas Jensen, 66, of Olin, formerly of Hale, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at his home following a long battle of cancer.Cremation rites have been accorded at Iowa Cremation. A Celebration of Life was held on Wednesday, May 23, at Hale Tap, Hale from 5 to 7 p.m.Paul was born March 22, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Fred C. Jensen and Josephine A. (Gollibeth) Jensen. He attended Olin Consolidated School.On September 4, 1971, he was united in marriage to Becky L. Fall in Olin. They were married for twenty-four years and later divorced.Through the years, Paul worked as a farmer and later worked for Wilson Foods/Farmstead in Cedar Rapids. He then became a truck driver for Jensen Ready Mix in Olin and ended his working career at Manatts, Inc. Ready Mix in Tipton. Paul enjoyed catfishing, deer hunting and NASCAR racing, especially No. 3 Dale Earnhart. Paul did it his way to the end.Paul is survived by his son, Timothy Allen (Dena) Jensen, Hale; a daughter, Terina Jo (Dan) Bruns, Calamus; two grandsons, Trace Jensen and Ty Jensen; three granddaughters, Bailey Jedlicka, Drew Jensen and Riley Bruns; a brother, Bill Jensen, Mechanicsville; twin sister, Patsy (Mike) Francois, Masonville and sisters, Judy Hankemeier, North Liberty and Patti (Jeff) Schaeffer, Anamosa; along with several nieces and nephews.Paul was preceded in death by his father, Fred; mother, Josephine; step-mother, Luella; brother-in-law, Wilmer Hankemeier; and sister-in-law, Sharon Jensen.
