John F. Jetter

WYOMING—November 30—John F. Jetter, who for a number of years has made his home with his granddaughter, Mrs. Peter Johansen, Jr., died last Wednesday. Mr. Jetter was a native of Germany. In 1865, at the age of thirty-three, he came to Clinton county, Iowa, which was his home for many years. Since the death of his wife he had made his home in Jones county, where he followed the trade of a stone mason. His illness was of short duration, pneumonia being the cause of his death. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Chris Dethman of Hood River, Oregon, and Mrs. Carsten Kettlesen of Monticello, Iowa. Funeral services were held from the Johansen home northeast of town on Friday, November 17th, which were conducted by Rev. G. E. Melchert, with burial at North Madison.
