|Evelyn J. Hansen, 93, of Wyoming, Iowa, died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Jackson County Regional Health Center, Maquoketa, Iowa.
Services were held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Wyoming United Methodist Church, Wyoming, Iowa. Family and friends called from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lahey Funeral Home in Wyoming. Burial was in the Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming. Iowa.
Evelyn Jane Johnson was born August 16, 1916, in Monmouth, Iowa, to Harry and Angeline (Edwards) Johnson. She married Henry Marvin Hansen in 1937 in Maquoketa, Iowa.
Evelyn worked at Midland School, Brandt Nursing Home in Wyoming, and at the Wyoming Telephone Office for 37 years.
She was a member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school for 27 years.
She is survived by five children, Darlene (Russell) Annear of Clinton, Richard (Betty) Hansen of Massillon, Donald (Martha) Hansen of Hartland, Michigan, Patricia (John) Burroughs of Davenport, and Dianne (Charles) Tew of Martelle; sixteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Howard (Norma) Johnson of Maquoketa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, one granddaughter, her parents, two brothers and eight sisters.
