James Leigh Joslin

James Leigh Joslin, 68, of Marion, died Friday, August 17, 2018, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha, after a long battle with cancer, but not without putting up a courageous fight.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery following the service. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, August 24, 2018, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
James was born March 28, 1950, the son of Fred and Dorothea (Bates) Joslin, in Clinton. He was married to Virginia Rae Techau on May 5, 1989, in Cedar Rapids. James worked for Quality Pest Control before retiring in 2012. He enjoyed many hobbies including reading, history, and watching “Ghost Adventures.; James inherited his children and grandchildren through marriage and quickly became a great role model for them. He will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Joslin; two sons, David (Sherri) Schooley and Donald Schooley; daughter, Dianna (Robert) Lahue; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; sister, Vivian Siemer; one niece; and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Daniel Schooley; and brother, Fred Allen Joslin.
