Bonnie Leigh Kelley Prull
September 21, 1933 – June 11, 2017
Bonnie Prull, 83, died Sunday, June 11, 2017, at the Bickford Cottage, Marion, following an extended illness.
Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Anamosa, with interment in the Springville Cemetery. Rev. Katherine Franzenburg officiated at the services. Friends called from 4 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa.
Surviving is her husband, Robert; three children, Teresa (Keith) Bahl of Marion, Karen Dolter of Dubuque and Kelley (Julie) Prull of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren with another on the way; and her brother, David (Eleanor) Kelley of Springville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, James (Orville) Kelley, Alvie Kelley, Lillie Mae Busch, and a son-in-law Pat Dolter.
Bonnie Leigh Kelley was born September 21, 1933, in Springville. She was the daughter of James and Elsie (Pirtle) Kelley. Bonnie graduated from the Springville High School with the class of 1951. She then went to work at Iowa National Insurance in Cedar Rapids. Bonnie Kelley and Robert Prull were married June 20, 1954, at the Springville Methodist Church. Bonnie worked as a secretary at the Martelle School and later at Kouba Pharmacy in Anamosa. She spent over twenty years working as a deputy Clerk of Court in the Jones County Courthouse. Bonnie retired in 1999.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and vacation Bible School. Bonnie was an avid quilter and crocheter, making many memories for her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
