| Beatrice Newell, 74, of Anamosa, died Monday, June 15, 2020 at her home of natural causes.Due to the current health pandemic the family will hold private service at a later date. Beatrice Kay Koehler was born May 25, 1946 in Spring Valley, Illinois, the daughter of Adam and Ellen (Jensen) Koehler. She married Ralph Newell May 15, 1965 in Henry, Illinois. Beatrice will be remembered as a kind loving homemaker whose priority was always her family. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, but she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years Ralph, her sons and their spouses Joe and Lori, Anamosa, Jimmy and Jennifer, Henry, Illinois, Jeff and Amanda, Morley, and Bobby Lauritzen and Terry, Sterling, Illinois, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a sister Patricia Duncan, as well as many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by twin sons Ronald and Donald, who died at birth, her sister Frances Hash, and brothers Adam, William and Larry.The family would like to thank Drs. Kilburg and Halawa and their staffs, as well as Unity Point Hospice for the wonderful care Beatrice received.
