Kole Gregory Kromminga
May 30, 1986–November 3, 2013
Kole Kromminga, age 27, died Sunday, November 3, 2013 from injuries received in an off-road motorcycle accident.
Funeral services were held at 11 o'clock Thursday, November 7 at Peace United Church of Christ in Monticello, with interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Pastor Mike Cleeton and Deacon Ed Goldsmith officiated at the services. Friends called after 3 Wednesday at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello.
Surviving are his parents, Greg and Christi Kromminga, his fiance Ashley Engelbart, his sister Callie (James) Smith, a brother, Karson Kromminga, nephews Tate and Sutton Smith, his grandparents, Art and Sharon Kromminga and Jerry and Jan Schneiter, his future in-laws Russ and Penny Engelbart, and future sister-in-law, Amy Engelbart, aunts and uncles, Todd and Julie Schneiter, Chuck and Susie Schneiter, Ron and Jackie Schneiter, Marcia Cook, Kara and Curtis Hunt, Crystal and Dick Lindaman, Vanessa and Robert Reiter, Kris and Mike Riley. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his uncle, Richmond Kromminga.
Kole Gregory Kromminga was born May 30, 1986 at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. He was the son of Gregory and Christi (Schneiter) Kromminga. Kole graduated from the Monticello Community Schools with the class of 2004. He continued his education at Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids. Kole and Ashley moved to Centennial, Colorado for three years where he worked for Elite Logistics. They returned home so he could manage K-Motorsports in Maquoketa in 2011. Kole loved to race his dirt bike for K-Motorsports. He loved skiing, boating, going to Mexico and his dog Otto.
