Ann M. Kropek Wosoba

Ann M. Wosoba, 96, of East Moline died Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, Illinois.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 800 17th Street, Silvis. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2015, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at Mayflower Cemetery in Oxford Junction, Iowa.
Ann was born on May 3, 1918, in Oxford Junction the daughter of John J. and Mary (Dvorak) Kropek. She married Francis G. Wosoba in October of 1938 in Oxford Junction, and he preceded her in death in December of 1985. She worked as a food Supervisor for St. Anthony's Hospital for twenty years.
Ann was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, and the Viking Club of Moline. She was a volunteer at the former Illini Hospital for fourteen years. Ann enjoyed the water, and for years had two cottages on the Rock River. She enjoyed being with and taking vacations with her son, John, and his wife, Eileen, and spending time with them at their Florida and Colorado homes.
Survivors include her son, John (Eileen) Wosoba, Punta Gorda, Florida; grandchildren, Stephen (Sherri) Wosoba, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Elizabeth Wosoba, Tucson, Arizona; great-grandchildren, John Wosoba, Grand Rapids, Alexander Bolanos, Tucson; and a very special friend, Kathy Hoste.
Kathy spent the past eleven years with Ann as her friend and caretaker. Seldom was Ann seen without Kathy shopping, or at her club in Moline.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband; and son, David.
