Robert Lasack

Robert Lasack, 67, of Waipahu, Hawaii, formerly of Olin, died August 21, 2016 at his home.
Robert, son of Joyce and Joe Lasask, was born June 7, 1949. He graduated from Olin High School. He attended Drake University and the University of Northern Iowa before entering the U. S. Marine Corps. He obtained a master’s degree from Long Beach State, California.
He worked in a juvenile detention center for several years before becoming an Immigration Officer for the INS-U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service, which was later named Homeland Security. He served in this position for twenty-seven years. He received several certificates of merit for his work.
He is survived by his wife, Elma, his mother, Joyce of Olin, his children Kimberly of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and Jeffery of Honolulu, Hawaii; three brothers, Joe of Des Moines, Donald of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Jon of Olin.
Bob was preceded in death by his father Joe and his brother Donald.
Bob touched many lives and will be remembered for his academic achievements, his service to his country, and for being a loving son, husband and brother.
