Harry Lloyd, one of the older residents of this community, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs Fred Coon of Hale, on Saturday, October 2. He was born on November 12, 1854, and would soon have reached his eighty-third brithday. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice, and by one son Louis, and one daughter, Maude. A brother, Alex and one sister, Jane Lloyd, also survive.
There are ten living children, five daughters and five sons, who mourn the loss of their father. They are Mrs. Charles Powell, Mrs. Fred Coon, Mrs Ernest Dodge, Mrs Antone Voremilek, Violet Lloyd, James, Benjamin, Glen, Merle and Alvin, also 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held from the Beam and Miller chapel on Tuesday, Oct 5, at 2 p.m. Burial was made in Cass Center cemetery.
The funeral services were in charge of the Rev. H. D. Green, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church.
