James Lincoln Alexander Lloyd
September 10, 1881–December 18, 1969
James A. Lloyd, 88, Anamosa, died Thursday evening, Dec 18, at the John McDonald hospital, Monticello, following an illness of several weeks.
Funeral service were held Saturday, Dec 20, at 2 p.m. at the Goettsch Funeral home Rev. James P. Imlay conducted the service Interment was in the Cass cemetery.
He was born Sept 10, 1881 son of Harry and Alice Legard Lloyd, Pittsburgh, PA. He was married to Hattie Bruce at Anamosa on Apr 5, 1912, and they made their home in Anamosa. Mrs Lloyd preceded him in death May 17, 1957.
Survivors include three sons, Leo, Cedar Rapids; James, Marlon, and Dale, Anamosa; one daughter, Mrs George White, Clinton; and a step-daughter, Mrs Henrietta Pliers, Ottumwa.
Other surivors include one brother, Alvin Lloyd, Ledyard; three sisters. Mrs Charles Rowell, Olin; Mrs Henry Brown and Mrs Fred Coons, both of Hale; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Beside his wife he was preceded in death by two daughters and his parents.
