Nettie Lloyd Rowell
December 23, 1904–November 29, 1977
OLIN—Nettie Rowell, Hale, died at the Jackson county public hospital, Maquoketa, on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 1977.
Memorial services were held at the Hayden Funeral home, Olin, on Thursday, Dec1, at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Gary Dobbins in charge. Mrs Gregg Von Behren was organist. interment was in the Olin cemetery.
Pallbearers included William Wollison, Merle Husmann, Harold Becker, Ivan Hotz, Billy Wright and Merlin Meier.
Mrs. Rowell was born on Dec. 23, 1904 in Kossuth county, daughter of Harry and Alice Leyard Lloyd. She married Charles Rowell at Elmore, Minn., on Nov. 2,1922.
The couple farmed near Olin until retiring to Hale in 1970. Mrs. Rowell has spent most of the last 1 1/2 years in a care center at Maquoketa.
Survivors include a niece and nephew, whom the Rowell's reared, Mrs Clifford (Dorothy Vozenelik) Meier, Bellevue ; and Alfred Vozenelik, Maquoketa; two sisters, Emoline Braien, Hale, and Violet Lloyd, Burt; one brother, Merle Lloyd, Dumont; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in February of 1976; four brothers; and two sisters.
