Howard C. Luckstedt

Howard C. Luckstedt, 76, of Wyoming, Iowa passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 4, 2014.
Howard was born on July 20, 1937 in Jones County, Iowa to Clarence and Mildred B. (Wright) Luckstedt. Howard graduated from Onslow High School with the class of 1954. He began driving school bus and worked for Onslow Lumber Yard right out of school. He was united in marriage with Evelyn Mae (Cress) on August 30, 1959 at Zion American Lutheran Church in Wyoming. Howard then worked at Clinton Engines, a year for a farmer, State of Iowa Highway Commission, and drove truck for Don Buckholtz and Roger Pegorick. He joined Teamsters Local 238. He then started driving for Briggs Transportation, MSI and AW Schmidt.
After his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family and doing a little bit of gambling. Howard was a life-long member of Zion American Lutheran Church in Wyoming.
Howard is survived by his wife, Evelyn Mae Luckstedt, daughters; Bonnie Sue (Dan) Pulse of Dixon, Iowa, Susan Marie (Steve Hefel) Luckstedt of Wyoming, Iowa, sister-in-law, Dorotha Bickford, brother-in-laws; Dennis (Charlotte) Cress, Randy (Carol) Cress, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts and uncles.
