Betty Lou Martin Biggs

Betty L. Biggs, 74, of Wyoming passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2018 at her home.
A celebration of life service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Taylor Ridge, Illinois on Sunday, February 4, 2018, at 1 p.m. with a private family graveside service afterwards. Lahey & Dawson Funeral Service in Wyoming is assisting the family at this time.
Betty Lou was born on September 7, 1943, in Fairfield, Iowa to John and Rosetta (Ranard) Martin. Betty graduated in 1962 at United Township High School in East Moline.
On September 7, 2000, she was united in marriage to Reginald Biggs in Davenport, Iowa. She worked as a caregiver in nursing homes and hospitals for many years. Betty enjoyed spending her time gardening, listening to country music and going to resale shops and looking for antiques. She spent much of her time remodeling her beautiful home. Her greatest blessing was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memories are her three children, Brian Shepherd of Davenport, Stephen (Sarah) Lane of Louisiana, Kimberly (Todd) Briggs of East Moline, Illinois; six grandchildren, Jaycob Briggs, Coleman Briggs, Zachary Briggs, Anthony Lane, Brayden Lane, and Avelee Lane; one great-grandchild (Lilly); two sisters, Karlene (John) Walters of Fenton, Illinois, Judy (Robert) Temple of Morrison, Illinois; and a brother John (Faye) Martin of Trivoli, Illinois.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister Ruby Miller; a brother Kenneth L. Martin, and a son Kenneth Martin Lane Jr.
