Rites Friday at Olin
for Mrs. Hess, 42

Funeral services were Friday, July 2. 1976 in Olin for Mrs James (Dianne) Hess, 42. who died about 11 30 p.m , Tuesday. June 29 at the Anamosa Community hospital.
The Rev Alfred W Burlingame, vicar of St Mark's Episcopal church, Maquoketa, officiated at services Friday afternoon at the Olin United Methodist church. Burial was in the Olin cemetery.
Pallbearers were Don Starry, Don Gapinski, N J Hollingsworth, Charles Becker, Peter Levsen, Paul C Levsen.
Dianne Jane Mason Hess was born Jan 30, 1934 at LaSalle, Ill., third of seven children of Dr. and Mrs. Isaac F. Mason and attended grade and high school in LaSalle county. Ill. schools She was graduated from LPO Junior college, Ill., in 1955 and attended Western Illinois university, Macomb, Ill., Edmond College, Guthrie. Okla.,.Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, Mo., and graduated from the University of Iowa in 1972.
She had taught art in the Wheatland schools, and was presently employed as a teacher in the Lincoln schools at Mechanicsville.
She was married to James Hess April 1, 1956 in Genesee 1Ill., he and their three children, Jan Douglas, Rebecca Joanne and Amy Lucille, all of the home, survive. The Hess family moved to Olin from Maquoketa in the mid-1960s.
Also surviving are her parents of Pawnee, Okla., a sister, Vallie O'Brien, Oklahoma City, Okla., and five brothers, I. F. Mason III, Metamora, Ill., Robert, Chicago, Ralph, Merrillville, lnd., Hunter, Frankfort, WestGermany, Randall, Guthrie, Okla.
