George Ferdinand Mohr

George Ferdinand Mohr, 86, of rural Oxford Junction, died December 3, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospice Care. His body was cremated. A family memorial service was held.
George was born February 28, 1928 to George A. and Esther (Lawrenz) Mohr in Clinton. He attended country school and Goose Lake Community School. His education was interrupted as a sophomore so he could work on the family farm.
George was united in marriage to Elaine Stuedemann March 18, 1951 in Clinton. He was a farmer all his life, farming in Jackson and Clinton Counties and then purchasing their farm in Jones County.
Surviving are his wife, Elaine of Oxford Junction; a daughter, Carolyn (Michael) Lillard of Dallas, Texas; two sons, Alan (Vicki) Mohr of Lowden and Loren (Trish) Mohr of Wyoming; four grandchildren; Sandy (Brad) Shafbuch, Downers Grove, Illinois; Dan (Amy) Mohr, Clarence; Charissa Lillard, Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Jonathan Lillard, Springfield, Missouri; and two great grandchildren; Caitlyn and Cara Shafbuch, Downers Grove, Illinois.
