Dorothy E. Mott Tasker

Dorothy E. Tasker, 75, of Wyoming, Iowa, died Monday, November 2, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Graveside services and burial were held on Thursday, November 5, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. at Cady Cemetery, Wyoming, Iowa, with Shepherd Karmen Jamison officiating. The family has honored her wishes and the body has been cremated. Lahey Funeral and Cremation Services in Wyoming is in charge of arrangements.
Dorothy E. Tasker was born September 30, 1934, in Tipton, Iowa, to Edwin and Mary Alice (Ralston) Mott. She married John "Jack" Tasker on April 19, 1951, in Coggon, Iowa. He died on June 17, 1987.
She worked on the assembly line at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, retiring in 1991.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and dancing. She taught her children and grandchildren her appreciation and love for all kinds of music.
She is survived by one daughter, Catherine (Dean) Wheeler of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Tom Tasker of Wyoming and John (Kathy) Tasker of Onslow; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marilyn Frasher of Martelle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister, Mary Lucille Redman and four brothers, Lyle, James, John and Donald Mott.
