William Victor Nelson
1888–October 3, 1911
Wm. Victor Nelson died Tuesday, October 3 [1911] at his home in Anamosa. On November 15, he found himself afflicted with tubercular trouble. Since that time he was not able to work. The end came sooner than was expected; but he had been ready to go. He believed in Jesus Christ as his personal savior and that he would meet his wife, little daughter, mother and others in a better world. He counseled his friends to live well.
Mr. Nelson was born in 1888, and died at the age of twenty-three years, seven months, and twenty days. In March, 1908, he was joined in marriage to Miss Bertha Gunther of Anamosa. Those who survive him are his wife; his daughter, Anna Elizabeth, who is eighteen months old; his mother, Mrs. Anna Nelson; and three brothers, Frank in Davenport, and Arthur and Leo of Anamosa.
The bereaved ones are especially grateful to the neighbors and friends who have been so kind in this sickness and loss.
The funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Baptist church and were conducted by Rev. Chas. H. Scbeick. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery.
