Betty Louise Ogden Feddersen Connolly
August 10, 1931 – April 8, 2017
Betty L. Feddersen Connolly passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Anamosa Care Center in Anamosa.
Her funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Lahey Funeral Home in Olin with burial at the Stanwood Cemetery. A visitation was held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, at Lahey Funeral Home in Olin.
Betty Louise was born on August 10, 1931, in Cedar County to Clarence and Emma (Meyers) Ogden. She attended Olin Community Schools. In September of 1972, she was united in marriage to Donald Connolly in Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1976. For many years, she worked at Wabash in Tipton.
She was a member of Olin Community Methodist Church and Clarence Legion Auxiliary. Betty enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, baking, cooking and fishing. She loved traveling with her friends and family enjoying their company while going out to eat or at the casino. In her earlier years, she liked to go dancing and tending to her flower gardens.
Those left to cherish her memories are her five children; Dennis Feddersen of Clarence, Marcia Feddersen of Marion, Mary Kay Appleby of Oxford Junction, Allen Feddersen of Olin, and Susan (Chuck) Debner of Anamosa; fourteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, special friend, Donna Feddersen, two brothers William Ogden of Tipton and Larry (Mary Jo) Ogden of North Liberty; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands; Donald Feddersen and Donald Connolly; a daughter Jennifer, three brothers, Richard, Donald and David Ogden; a sister Shirley Meyer; and a granddaughter Cindy Hagen.
