Cindy L. Otten Pachtinger

Cindy L. Pachtinger, 47, of Monmouth, Iowa, died Saturday, March 7, 2009 at her home, following a sudden illness.
Graveside services and burial were held on Thursday, March 12, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at the Monmouth Cemetery in Monmouth, Iowa. Friends called from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Lahey Funeral Home in Wyoming.
Cindy Lee Otten was born April 7, 1961 in Monticello, Iowa, daughter of Larry and Bonnie (Mackey) Otten. She graduated from Monticello High School, Monticello, Iowa. She served in the U. S. Navy in Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance.
She is survived by two sons, Dustin (Mandi) Pachtinger of Thompson, Iowa, and Brandon (Helen) Pachtinger of Maquoketa, Iowa; five grandchildren, Madison, Skylar, Jazmine, Alexis and Cameron Pachtinger; one brother David Otten of Lost Nation; two sisters, Kathy Otten of Monroe, North Carolina and Kelly Carr of Baldwin, Iowa; close friends, Chuck and Cheri Yarolem of Monmouth; and special friend, Richard Burkhart of Grays Lake, Illinois.
Cindy worked for the Iowa Department of Transportation with road maintenance for sixteen years. She loved spending time with her grandkids, visiting the casinos, and she loved her dog, Michael.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
