Thomas Jens Paulsen

.Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Monday, November 27, 2017, at the United Methodist Church in Wyoming. A visitation was Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Lahey Funeral Home from 2 – 5 p.m. Burial will be at the Wyoming Cemetery.
Thomas J. Paulsen was born December 28, 1937, at the Anamosa Hospital (Mercy), the son of Wolber August Paulsen and Emma M. (Carstensen) Paulsen. He received his education in the Wyoming Public High School and graduated in 1956. In 1958, he joined the U. S. Army and served two years, with eighteen months in Germany. When he returned home, he began farming on the home farm. He spent his whole life on the home farm except for when he was in the service.
He served a number of years on the Wyoming Cemetery Board. Tom especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Thomas Jens Paulsen and Wilma Carol Cox were married on July 6, 1968, at the First Presbyterian Church in Monticello. They are the parents of Gregory Thomas and Bradley William. Tom is survived by his wife, Wilma; his son, Gregory (Debra), and grandchildren, Emma, Allison and Olivia; and his son Bradley (Sharon), and grandchildren Maisie and Ethan; one brother, August (Anita); sisters-in-law Phyllis Lumpa, Linda McAllister; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law Merle Cox and Paul Lumpa; and sister-in-law Jeanne Cox.
