Robert W. "Bud" Peck, 51 of Onslow, died Sunday, September 21, 2008, at Jones Regional Medical Center, Anamosa, Iowa, following a sudden illness.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at East Iron Hill Church in rural Maquoketa, Iowa, with the Rev. Ed Elliott officiating. The family has honored his wishes and his body has been cremated.
Lahey Funeral & Cremation Services in Wyoming is in charge of arrangements.
Robert W. Peck was born on June 15, 1957 in Dodge City, Kansas, son of Glen Edward and Shirley L. (Longworth) Peck. He attended school in Lamar, Colorado and Garden City, Kansas. Bud married Kim Holub on May 20, 1978 in Friend, Kansas. He was a self-employed contractor.
Bud was a member of H.O.G., the Harley Owners Group. He loved to ride his motorcycle and spend time with his family, friends, and his dog, Snickers.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Peck of Onslow; one daughter, Laci R. (Mark) Buresh of Oxford Junction; one son, Derek W. Peck of Onslow; his mother, Shirley Peck of Garden City, Kansas; 3 brothers, Billy J. (Brenda) Peck of Lansing, Kansas, Danny G. (Marlyne) Peck of Dodge City, Kansas, and Lee H. Peck of Broomfield, Colorado; and his father and mother-in-law, Charles and Sharon Holub of Oxford Junction.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glen and his brother, Vernon Peck.
