| Neil T. Petersen, 77, of Maquoketa, Iowa, and formerly of Oxford Junction, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at the Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa, Iowa.A natural journey farewell with cremation has taken place. The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family. Neil Thomas Petersen was born on October 31, 1938 in Anamosa, Iowa, to August M. and Mildred (Johnson) Petersen. He attended country schools and was a graduate of Oxford Junction High School.Neil had worked as a deckhand on the Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque, Iowa for many years. He loved woodworking.Those left to honor Neil’s memory include many friends and the caring staff at Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa. He was preceded in death by his parents
