Garrison of that place, August 4th, 1834. He came west in 1850, settling at Cascade, Iowa, where he resided uutil about the year 1873, when he removed to this place, which he has made his home for 24 years. On May 12th, 1878, he buried his first wife, and on August 21st, 1879, he was married to Mrs. Mary E. Brown of Springvllle, Iowa, who survives him. Tho deceased was a sincere and devout Christian and lived in accordance with the Methodist Episcopal faith to which he was converted when 10 years of age. On last Monday he expressed his confident and restful hope in Christ, and the end came very peacefully. He was the father of four children, three sons and one daughter. Two of the sons survive him. In his early manhood Mr. Price was somewhat unfortunate, and was unable to lay in store, enough to protect himself against the wants which he sometimes felt in his old age. His two sons, Count and Samuel, were at his bedside when death came, however, and they saw that he received good care and an honorable burial. The funeral services will be conducted at the M. E. church, this afternoon, by Rev. E. G. Waite.
