Held at Wyoming

WYOMING—Memorial services for Seaman James Burnell Rickels, 18, were held at the Wyoming Methodist church on Saturday, March 30, at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Robert Christensen was clergyman. Mrs. Lafayette Bahnsen was the organist. Interment was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Pallbearers Named
Pallbearers were James Boots, James Eggert, Kit Aldrich, Allen Willman, Daryl Moenk and Kevin Somerville.

Life Outlined
James Rickels was born March 13, 1949, at Monticello. He attended the Midland Community schools in Wyoming until April 26, 1966, when he enlisted in the United States Navy. On Aug. 2, 1966 he joined the crew of the USS Mark AKL 12, and served, there until his death. He drowned while boarding a small boat to go back to his ship at Nha Be, South Viet Nam, on March.15, 1968.

Survivors Told
He is survived by his parents; four brothers and one sister. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother and his paternal grandfather.
American Legion Military services were held at the graveside.
