Milo M. Roeglin age, 80 died Tuesday October 16, 2007 at Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, following an extended illness.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30a.m. Friday October 19, 2007 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Anamosa. Rev. Bill Nielsen will officiate at the service. Internment will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello.
Surviving is his wife Edna; 4 daughters Sharon Weckwerth of Waseca, MN, Betty Hunter of Tampa, FL, Diane (Alan) Lewer of Waseca, MN, and Linda (Ray) Iben of Springville; a sister Vera Peacock of Mora, MN; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Judy; a sister Velma Chamberlain; a brother Stanley; 2 granddaughters Shalene Iben and Michelle Hunter; a grandson Mathew Weckwerth and 3 infant grandchildren.
Milo Milton Roeglin was born June 28, 1927 in Waseca County, Minnesota. He was the son of Emil and Elizabeth DeBord Roeglin. On June 26, 1947 Milo and Edna Gehloff were united in marriage in Waseca, Minnesota. Milo started off farming before finding his true calling as a craftsman; building everything from homes to furniture including a walnut bassinet. Milo enjoyed gardening, raising animals, and collecting sap from the maple trees in town to make maple syrup, and then he and Edna would sell the syrup at the flea market. Milo will be missed dearly by those closest to him and especially by his beloved wife Edna with whom he shared 60 years of eternal love.
