Milton L. Ross, 93, of Anamosa, died Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Pinicon Place in Anamosa.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2018, at Wilcox Cemetery, Viola.
Rev. Rodney Bluml officiated, and military honors were accorded by the Anamosa Veterans’ Honor Guard. Friends called from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Monday, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa.
Milton LaVerne Ross was born on December 10, 1924, in Central City, the son of Walter Glenn and Mildred (Bickel) Ross. He served his country in the U. S. Navy during World War II. Milton was a lifelong farmer who liked to saw wood in his own sawmill and cook pancakes on his wood stove. He enjoyed life, walking through his woods, and visiting with family and friends.
He is survived by sisters, Esther (Dick) Stick of Marion and Edna Moehl of Anamosa; several nieces and nephews, and a special friend and neighbor, Annette Caffery.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Everett; and a brother-in-law.
