Harriet M. Rowe Mott

OBITUARY OF MRS. P. MOTT.
Harriet M. Rowe was born in Cazenovia, New York, Sept. 10, 1828 and died at Anamosa, Iowa, March 12, 1907, aged 83 years, 5 months and 26 days.
Deceased was the youngest of seventeen children, all of whom are now dead. When but fifteen years of ago, she was married to Philander Mott. To tbis union were born thrce children, a son and two daughters. Both daughters lie buried in one grave at Cortland, New York. After the death of the daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Mott removed to Fairvlew, Iowa in 1864 and have since resided here until the death of tbe former, Dec., 1903, when the widow removed with her son to Anamosa, Iowa. She united early in life with tho M.E. church at McGranville, N.Y, and has continued a member of that denomination over since. Ill health has for many years prevented her attendance at divine service. She has long been a sufferer from general ill health, and death came as a welcome release. She leaves one son, two grandsons, and two grand daughters, six great grand children besides many friends to mourn her loss.
Funeral services wero held at the Fairview M.E. church Thursday conducted by Rev. James Ballz. Interment was at Wilcox cemetery. Among the out of town friends attending tbe funeral were W. A. Mott and wife of Hale, Mrs. Norton Coon of Oxford Junction and Mrs. Mamie Wilson of Davenport.
