Elise F. Rowell Lloyd
January 10, 1911–July 25, 1987
Funeral services were held for Elise F. Lloyd, 76, of Wyoming on Monday, July 27 at the Hayden Funeral Home in Wyoming. Burial was at Olin Cemetery. The Rev. Clara DeBoef of the United Methodist Church officiated.
Pallbearers were Ken and Dan Lloyd, Rick, Duane, Mike and Jerry Clasen and Mike Millsap.
Mrs. Lloyd died July 25 at the Jackson County Public Hospital in Maquoketa.
She was born Jan 10, 1911 at Swea City, the daughter of Thomas and Annie Spillet Rowell. She was educated at Grant School in Kossuth County. On Jan, 27, 1927, Elsie married Glen Lloyd at Blue Earth, Minn. They first lived in Kossuth County, then moved to Jones County in 1935. Mr. Lloyd died in 1956.
Mrs Lloyd worked at Clinton Engines in Maquoketa for 16 years, for the Midland School District for seven years and for the Jones County Social Service Department for three years. She was a member of the Hale Golden Rule Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Millsap of Onslow and Mrs. Velma Clasen of LaMott; two sons, Edward of Anamosa and Gene of Olin; 18 grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Mae Selberg of Lalyard.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, three brothers and three sisters.
