Angeline A. Kostichek, 90, of Wyoming, Iowa, died Monday, November 21, 2011, at the Westwing Place in DeWitt, Iowa. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oxford Junction, Iowa. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Lahey Funeral home in Oxford Junction, where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Mayflower Cemetery, Oxford Junction.
Angeline Anna Ruley was born August 16, 1921, in Oxford Junction, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Vonesh) Ruley. She married James G. Kostichek on February 17, 1942, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oxford Junction. He died on January 25, 1993. She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband on the Century Family Farm. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oxford Junction, and its Sanctuary Guild. She enjoyed gardening and loved to raise flowers, baking, crocheting, photography and singing with the Czech Group in Oxford Junction.
She is survived by eight nieces and nephews, Cathy (Orville) Barnhart, Rita Carlon and Jo Ann (Herb) Carmichael, all of Davenport, John (Linda) Kostichek of Walcott, Steve (Sandy) Ruley of Earlville, Betty (Tim) Bruck of Cascade, Iowa, Albert (Linda) Ruley of Earlville, Iowa, and Jeanne Luensman of Epworth, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Frank and Edward, and one sister, Marie.
