Robert Paul Sams

Robert Paul Sams, 60, of Maquoketa passed away December 8, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospitals. Lahey Funeral Home in Maquoketa, Iowa will be assisting the family at this time.
Robert was born on November 5, 1955 to Kenneth Lee, and Samara Jane (Farrington) Sams. He grew up in the Anamosa area, as well as Lost Nation, and Wyoming, Iowa. He graduated from Dewitt High School in 1975.
Robert worked at the Anamosa Stave Mill, Mikes Antiques in Zwingle, and for Cliff Dirks in Wyoming, Iowa for many years.
He is survived by his daughter Bethany Sams (Brian Schepers) of Maquoketa, and son Travis (Kim) Sams of Monticello, eight grandchildren, brothers; Charles (Carla) Sams of Anamosa, Terry (Colleen) Sams of Anamosa, James (Louise) Sams of Hale, Doug (Mae) Sams of Monmouth, sisters; Judy (Will) Anders of Oxford Junction, Cindy (Mark) of Lisbon, and Yutana Sams of Lisbon, eight grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Pamela Dahl, a brother Andy Sams, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
