| Donnie Schaeffer, 82, of Wyoming, finally graduated from the “School of Hardnox” on Wednesday, October 30, at his home with those he dearly loved.He was a Navy veteran, having honorably served his country from 1955 until 1963.He married the love of his life, Susie Millsap, in 1959 in Wyoming.He retired from Star Buildings in 2002 after thirty-five years of employment. He had also farmed and worked with the Somerville businesses over the years.He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Susie; a son, Matthew (Diane); three granddaughters, and four great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy, in 1975.A private graveside service and burial was held at the Wyoming Cemetery, and a celebration of his life (and graduation) was held at his garage on November 3.
