Jeanne Ellen Koppe Deppe, 63, of 303 East Main Street, Wyoming, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton, Iowa. Service for Jeanne was held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Lahey Funeral Home in Wyoming, friends visited from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. service time at the funeral home on Sunday. Burial will be at a later date in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa, Iowa. Jeanne Ellen Scherf was born on July 12, 1951 in Waukesha, Wisconsin, daughter of Robert and Joy Eyvonne (Wilcox) Kohls. She was a graduate of Maquoketa High School and Clinton Community College, with an A. A. in Nursing. Jeanne was an emergency room nurse in New Hampton and also a travel nurse. Jeanne loved to redecorate, and design jewelry, showing her work at craft shows with Cherokee Rose Designs. She was an animal lover and bird watcher, loved horses and the Chicago Cubs. Jeanne was a big coffee drinker, and always wanted a lot of creamer. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family. She is survived by her son: John Joseph "JJ" Koppe (Michelle) of Grand Mound, James Christopher Koppe (Heather) of Wyoming, Jacob Matthew Koppe (Lindsay) of Cedar Rapids, Joshua Robert Koppe (Bobbi Jo) of Des Moines; eight grandchildren; friend and companion Paul Meeker; sister Bobbi (Dave) Schrader of Diamond Springs, California, and two dogs Mack and Grace. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robbie, and two dogs Barney and Cody.
