Funeral services for Mrs. Meta M. Kasper, 72, will be held Thursday, November 6 at Wayne Zion Lutheran church with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery. Rev. Otto Zwanziger will conduct the services. Mrs. Kasper died at John McDonald hospital Tuesday, November 4, after a long illness.
She was born December 16, 1867, the daughter of John and Maria (Poppe) Schoon. She married Rudolph Kasper October 20, 1910 and they farmed in the Wayne township area until Mr. Kasper's death December 14, 1915.
She is survived by her daughter Mrs. Carroll (Ruth) Podhaski, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Anna Tobiason of Anamosa, and one brother Fred Schoon of St. Paul Minnesota. One brother and one sister preceded her in death.
