Clifton Jacob Seidel

Clifton J. Seidel, 89, of Dumont, Iowa, and formerly of Wyoming, Iowa, died on Monday, January 5, 2015, at the Dumont Wellness Center in Dumont, Iowa.
A celebration of Clifton's life was held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, January 9, 2015, from the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. A family visitation was held prior to the service beginning at 9:30 A.M. Burial was in the Wyoming, Iowa Cemetery.
Clifton Jacob Seidel was born on May 8, 1925 in Streeter, North Dakota, to Jacob and Kate (Zeeb) Seidel. He married Alyce I. Bonen on February 11, 1945 in Bowdle, South Dakota. She preceded him in death on October 26, 2000.
Clifton had worked construction for ten years, farmed for twenty years and was a logger for fifteen years. He also was involved in a farmer's market for over fifteen years.
Clifton was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Oxford Junction where he had served as a board member. He enjoyed woodworking, doing furniture repair and growing vegetables.
Those left to honor Clifton's memory include his children: Carter (Paige) Seidel of Dumont, Iowa, Claude (Tina) Seidel of Sebastian, Florida, Sandra LeGrand of Wyoming Iowa, Jerry (Sheila) Seidel of Melbourne, Florida, and Marsha Morgan of Melbourne, Florida; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; a brother Howard Harr of Pelahatchie, Mississippi; and a sister Martha Huber of Billings, Montana. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brothers Oscar, Emil, Rollie and Edward, sisters Ester, Florence, Marlene and Bernice, and a daughter Carol Seidel on July 5, 2004.
