F. Leonard Serbousek

F. Leonard Serbousek, 93, of Center Junction, Iowa, died Friday, November 18, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Memorial services were held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Wyoming, where friends called after 9:00 a.m. Burial was in North Madison Pioneer Cemetery, Center Junction, Iowa with military honors.
Leonard Serbousek was born March 24, 1918 in Center Junction, Iowa, the son of Alan and Della (Mead) Serbousek. He married June Huffman on March 29, 1939 in Waukon, Iowa.
He served in the U. S. Navy during WW II. Leonard owned and operated the DX Station in Center Junction for thirty years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Wyoming American Legion Post #259. Leonard was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved his country, his family and friends.
Leonard is survived by his wife of seventy-three years, June Serbousek of Center Junction; one son, Alan (Marlene) Serbousek of Anamosa; and two grandsons, Todd Serbousek and Craig (Val) Serbousek, all of Seattle, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Ken, Dee and Don, and sisters, Ruth and Jane.
