Tillie Angeline Streets Williams

Tillie A. Williams, 78, of Baldwin, Iowa, died on Saturday morning, August 31, 2013, at her home.
Friends and family may gather for "One Last Party"® in remembrance of Tillie on Saturday, September 7, from 2 to 4 P.M. in The Bistro at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Burial will be at a later date in the Canton, Iowa Cemetery.
Tillie Angeline Streets was born on November 9, 1934 in Maquoketa, Iowa to Albert Walter and Ruth Mahalee (Massey) Streets. She grew up in Maquoketa and attended Maquoketa Schools. She married Lyle Williams on September 25, 1950 in Wyoming, Iowa. He preceded her in death on September 5, 1979. She then met Harry Skinner and they were companions for twenty-eight years until his death on April 23, 2011.
Tillie and Lyle had lived in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin for ten years as they operated a dairy farm. In 1960 they moved to the Maquoketa area where she worked seasonally at RonAnn's Floral Shop, Pride Seed Corn in DeWitt and Hoffman Eggs in Maquoketa.
Tillie enjoyed crocheting, gardening and growing and selling strawberries. She also enjoyed playing cards, bingo and fishing.
Those left to honor Tillie's memory include her children, Trudy (Gayle) Hart of Maquoketa and Paul (Susie) Williams of Anaheim, California, nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Beaver of Anaheim, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyle, her companion Harry, two children Doris and Larry, four brothers and one sister.
