Judy Thomas Beckett

Judy Thomas Beckett, 73, of Anamosa, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa, following a sudden illness. A memorial service was at 1 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2017, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Marion. The family greeted friends two hours prior to the service.
Judy was born January 22, 1944, in Iowa City, the daughter of Clarence and Mattie (Raymond) Thomas. She worked at Rockwell Collins, in retail and with flowers and then retired from Monsanto. Judy enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing, gardening and going on road trips with her partner in crime. She was an excellent cook and loved to bake. Judy adored spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Connie Beckett of Anamosa, Lenny Beckett of Coco Beach, Florida, Douglas Beckett of Melbourne, Florida, Eric (Jamie Trythall) Beckett of Palm Bay, Florida, Tracy (David) Loper of West Melbourne, Florida, Kristi (Ted Riley) Beckett of Ryan and Darren (Amanda) Beckett of Grant, Florida; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings Francis (Jan) Thomas, Lorene (Willard) Clark, and Gwen Willard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Betty Bunch, James Thomas, Mary Smith, Naone Pavin, Carl Thomas, Glen Thomas, and Leon Errol “Tommy” Thomas.
