| Funeral services for M. Rudolph Tobiassen, 83, will be held from the St. Matthew Lutheran church, Monticello, this afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Arnold E. Schlueter, pastor, will officiate with burial at Oakwood, Monticello.
The deceased was born July 23, 1877, in Wayne township, near Monticello, the son of John H. Tobiassen and Margaretha K. (Ricklets) Tobiassen. He was married on March 7, 1905, to G. Elize Hayen, Monticello, and they farmed their married life in the rural area until moving to Monticello in 1921. They are members of St. Matthew's Lutheran church, Monticello.
Mr. Tobiassen's death, Monday April 19, 12:06 a.m., was due to pneumonia. He had been a patient of the John McDonald hospital for the past two weeks.
Mrs. Tobiassen, his wife, is the only survivor. He was preceded in death by a brother, two sister, and two half-sisters.
Pallbearers include Herman Folkers, Henry Tobiason, Wilke Behrends, Haye Tobiason, Henry Rieniers, and Will Zimmerman. The Goettsch Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
