| Jesse J. Tubbs, 68, of Oxford Junction passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.His funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Oxford Junction Legionnaire. A visitation will be from 9:00 until the service time on Saturday, November 19 at the Legionnaire. Burial will be held at a later date. Lahey Funeral & Cremation Service is assisting the family at this time.Jesse J. Tubbs was born on April 28, 1948 in Savanna, Illinois to Eugene and Betty (Welch) Tubbs. He attended the Wyoming High School. On June 30, 1969, he was united in marriage to Xera Zaruba in Rock Island, Illinois.He worked at Ennis Inc. as a pressman for 31 years retiring in 2001. Jesse had a great love for Harley Davidsons. He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, gambling and helping out on the farm. Most of all he loved his family and spending time socializing with them and his friends.Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Xera of Oxford Junction, a son Michael (Julie) Tubbs of Wyoming, three grandchildren; Heather Scott, Lindsay Brownell, Shawn Tubbs, a great-grandson Trevyn Scott, a son Mark McNamee, a daughter Tammy Balliu, two sisters; Georgia Drumm, Gloria Wilhelm, two brothers; Larry Tubbs, Mike Tubbs and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
