Lucille Waggoner Starr

Lucille Starr, 91, of Wyoming, Iowa passed away Thursday, October 22 at the Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa, Iowa. Visitation was Sunday, October 25 from 3 to 5 at Lahey Funeral Home in Wyoming. Iowa. Funeral Services were held on Monday, October 26 at 10:30 AM at the Zion American Lutheran Church in Wyoming, Iowa followed by burial at the Wyoming Cemetery.
Lucille was born on November 12, 1923 in Anamosa, Iowa to Stanley Waggoner and Tena Husmann. She married Donald Starr on October 23, 1943 at the Wayne Zion Church in Monticello.
She was a clerical worker for the Jones County Treasurer’s office. She was a member of the Zion American Lutheran Church in Wyoming, Iowa. She was also part of the Eveready Club in Wyoming. She enjoyed golfing in her earlier years, and also enjoyed reading, cooking and traveling.
Lucille is survived by her husband, Don Starr, a son, Jim (Alexandria) Starr of Virginia, a daughter Cindy (Tim) Knutson, of Wapello, Iowa, a daughter-in-law Gale Starr of Winterset, Iowa; her grandchildren, Jason and Bart Starr, and Geneva and Alana Knutson, and her great grandchildren, Drake and Brody Starr.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry in 1994, her parents, and one brother, Leo Waggoner.
