Norma J. Luckstead, 70, of Olin, Iowa, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa, Iowa.
A celebration of her life will be on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Olin, Iowa, with Pastor Pat Slater officiating. Family and friends may call on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Olin. Burial will be in the Olin Cemetery, Olin, Iowa.
Norma Jean Wagner was born on December 20, 1939, in Coon Rapids, Iowa, daughter of Albert and Dorothy (Herron) Wagner. She attended school in Coon Rapids, Iowa. She married Richard Luckstead on July 6, 1957 in Stanwood, Iowa.
She was a cook at Hale Tap for many years, and was known for her tenderloins and famous salads. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard "Lucky" Luckstead; two daughters, Cindy Jean (Timothy) Holmes and Kim (Kasey) Brecht, all of Olin; four grandchildren, Matt Holmes, Travis (Nicole Puetz) Holmes, Zach and Emily Brecht; and one sister Violet Brinkman of Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Richard and Leland, and one sister, Leora.
