| Chet Westcott, 63, of Oxford Junction died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.
Family and friends called from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Lahey Funeral Home in Oxford Junction, Iowa. His family has granted his wishes and his body was cremated.
Chet was born December 18, 1949 at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton to Chet and LetaMae (Worthen) Westcott. He was united in marriage on August 25, 1973 to Debra McFarland in Vinton, Iowa.
He loved camping, boating, fishing at 6B's Campground, and his dog Sparky.
He is survived by his wife Debra; two sons, Harold Westcott and his fiance Jessica Hines of Oxford Junction, and Joseph R. Westcott and his girlfriend Teri McGillan of Baldwin; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one brother Larry Westcott of LaPorte City; four sisters, Erma Jones of Vinton, Wanda (Gary) Kreiger of Cedar Rapdis, Susan (Francis) Bawden of Mt. Auburn, and Ruth (Terry) Becker of Urbanba.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-son Dean McFarland Uthoff and brother-in-law, Jim Scott.
